Abstract:

Chasing Daylight is a call to live a life of blazing urgency. We have but one life. We are given one opportunity to pursue our dreams and fulfill our divine purpose. Every moment counts, and we must engage them with fierceness and zeal. Put an end to passive observation, paralyzed by the need for perfect opportunity, and start seizing the raw, untapped potential of your life with God. The Old Testament account of Jonathan and Saul in 1 Samuel reveals the contrasts and consequences of living a life of purpose and adventure vs. one of apathy and missed opportunity. In the midst of a less-than-hopeful battle, Saul rested beneath a tree as Jonathan seized the divine moment that would impact the future of Israel. Through this story, McManus artfully illustrates the eight characteristics of an adventurer's heart, what he calls "the Jonathan factor." McManus's personal stories and fresh biblical teaching will challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and move from mundane to miraculous living as you actively engage in God's plan! - Publisher.
